I always get a kick out the argument that a greater post count somehow equates to an upper echelon of wit, insight, clairvoyance, omnipotence, whatever. It's like how marketers always push megapixels in cameras, horsepower in cars, size of rounds in guns, etc. They know that even morons can understand that one number is bigger than another, so all the marketers have to do is convince them that "bigger is [invariably] better." Give them something to latch onto as they go into the world and make bigboy decisions all on their own.

The fact is, dTm is probably right. Why the hell else would you post that without "getting attention" being the number 1 draw? You're just upset you got called out on it right off the bat without getting a few tugs first. You can act like you not revealing all of the facts gives you all the "valor" in the world, but true valor would have been keeping your trap shut when someone told you something personal and not using the information to get back-pats on a fracken' internet forum.

I don’t know Snap's inside scoop. I can say there was speculation it was a close call. Enough speculation that it lead me to post, "its time to be prepared." I've seen that some believe he was set to take the job but changed his mind when they came back to him. I have no idea if that is true.

I don't really have a problem with this. It might sound somewhat elitist, but I like whatever information I can get, verifiable or not. Thanks for posting what you could!
