In what will go down as one of the greatest upsets in NCAA Tournament history, Virginia Commonwealth beat the No. 1-seeded Kansas Jayhawks 71-61 on Sunday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, ending KU's season one win shy of reaching the Final Four.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Seriously though folks....I don't know if anyone has been watching ESPN, but you can't see VCU highlights without seeing Devlin Court.

KU: The Worst Loss in NCAA History!
For one thing, VCU was about as close to the last at-large team in the tournament as you can get and, as I’ve pointed out, laughed at by the pundits. Kansas was the second highest #1 seed in the tournament and the only one left. Not only did Kansas get beat considerably worse than the other two #1s, but VCU had to actually play one more game than George Mason and LSU just to get there.Have there been worse losses in NCAA history?
Was KU’s triple OT loss to North Carolina for the national championship in 1957 a “worse” loss? Was KU’s 18-point loss in the title game in 1940 to Indiana (one of the largest margins of defeat in a title game) a “worse” loss? Was KU’s 12/30 performance from the line in their three-point loss to Syracuse in the 2003 national title game a “worse” loss?
You can argue it all day long. But, on March 27, 2010, the worst loss in NCAA history is #1 KU 61, #11 VCU 71.Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

Agreed about Self. Class act all the way.
Don't give a flip about their obnoxious fans and thuggy players. The pre-Richmond episode really made this loss all the more better.
Maybe KU should request that all the midmajors be out of their side of the bracket.
Now we know why they only wanna play middies in Rainbowtown.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Another elite slip: VCU stuns Kansas, 71-61
During a captains meeting with officials before tipoff, VCU guard Joey Rodriguez said one of the brothers offered him some parting words: "The run ends here."
"We'll see," Rodriguez shot back.Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

VCU basketball makes another mid-major statement with win over Kansas
Now that's what I call DANCING!!!!
For the CAA, this is essentially Cinderella squared.
Okay, now let’s have at these deluded souls.
Dick Vitale (“No shot, none whatsoever”). Jay Bilas (“Tough to justify” the Rams’ inclusion). In its own state, many wondered why Virginia Tech was left out of the party again.
“I’m not going to put words in Jay Bilas’s mouth,” Larranaga said. “But when he says they didn’t earn the right, hey, Jay, you didn’t study them to the depth the committee did. They now deserve everyone’s respect for what they’ve done.”
Charles Barkley, the basketball Hall of Famer and now a television commentator, may have said it best on Sunday night’s postgame show: “Remember when everybody said they shouldn’t be in the tournament? I think they can tell everybody to shut the hell up now.”Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!
