When was the last time we got to play teams similar to UCONN, Virginia, LSU, Tulsa, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Washington in one season?

Wouldn't it be great if our schedule looked like that every season!

The problem this year was Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Washington State were after Selection Sunday. You can throw in that LSU, Tulsa and Virginia were really no help but at least better than playing terrible teams.

Tulsa stayed in the Top 100 didn't they? That doesn't hurt. Especially considering they were the best team that we scheduled this season. Which tells me we need to schedule better.

Nope, Tulsa didn't hurt, but didn't help a bit either. If wins over the same quality of teams as Virginia Tech, Nebraska and CoC were in the regular season, we would have a much better chance of dancing no matter how bad the MVC is. We agree, need to schedule better.

I would argue that Tulsa did help. They were a top 100 team and top 100 wins is something that the committee looks at.

Obviously we didn't have enough top 100 wins and top 50 wins help more, but top 100 wins are still a help.

In fact, Virginia Tech, UNL and CofC are also just top 100 wins. So on the committee's stat sheet each of those wins would appear to be pretty much the equivalent as the Tulsa win.

But the committee is human and I do believe that wins over BCS teams help more than non-BCS teams even if the non-BCS team has a little better rpi.

Fixed. Washington is (was) in the NCAA tournament.
