There was a player for the Shocker's back in the early to mid eighties who's range was inside the gym. Aubrey Sherrod. It was before the three pointers. Then again you have a team mate leading the country in rebounding and scoring, does it matter?

His stat line was very nice...28 or so points and a few other good things he did, but making 4 of 5 three pointers from 6-12 foot behind the three point line is UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Yes, I've seen better all around games from individuals in Koch, I've seen guys hit MORE threes and at a higher percentage, but I've never seen anyone hit that many shots from that deep!!!
Jason Perez was like 7 for 20 from that range, but that was for his career. He never hit 4 (or probably even 3) in one game. That dude was 4 for 5 in one night and yes, he did hit one from the wheat on Wushocks head and one that was even a little further out, just more lateral so he wasn't standing on half-court. Freakin amazing!Livin the dream

This was hands down the best 3pt shooting I've ever seen...Outside of winning the game, Pickett was upstaged x10.Livin the dream

I take that back. I saw range like that once before. I'm relatively young, so I don't remember games prior to '85 or so, but I do remember K-State's Ski Jones back in 1994 playing in an NIT game. I looked it up, he scored 62 points in 28 minutes (14 three-point FG's were made). I've never seen anything like it since. The dude was on fire and he made some shots damn near half court in that blow-out game. K-State was up so much, he was launching shots from way out since the outcome of the game had been determined in the first half. It was incredible.

I watched a 6-7 300 lb 42 year old named "Hawkeye" (don't remember his last name, maybe Whitney) hit 8 in a row from half court. He played at NC St in the late 70s and played a few years in the NBA before blowing out his knees and getting into leagal trouble. Super nice guy. Anyway, he thought he was all alone and didn't know I was watching from an open door. After he missed on his 9th attempt he put the ball away and went back to sweeping the court. Most amazing but sad thing I ever saw on a basketball court.Livin the dream

Nice compliment from the ESPN2 announcers near the end of the game. They commented that they would like to see Goudelock taken out of the game as they were certain that the Wichita crowd, being great fans, would honor him for this performance tonight.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
