1. The Shockers had 9 fouls in the first half, but only 5 in the second half. For awhile, I thought the Shocks might foul their way out of the game.
2. Shocks only had 12 turnovers. F+TO = 26. Pretty darn good.
3. I noticed that Coach Marshall did not send the walk-ons into the game with 3 minutes to go.
4. We are gonna miss Gabe. I liked him for the first moment I laid eyes on him in summer ball of '08.
5. I liked the double teaming or gimmicking on Goudelock. It made me wonder, if the tactic would have been useful against some of the one man teams in the Valley. Specifically, I was thinking of Ali Baba with UNI. While Mo State was not a one man team, it might have been useful against their guard. I cannot remember his name.
6. I did not attend the game. The crowd was loud. How did it compare to the Florida State v. WSU crowd?"Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

Normally, I watch the game from the student section, but this time I got some SASO-type seats. Not too bad, I must say. Granted, I miss the student energy, but the people in the paid seats really seem to know the game. Definitely more passion when it comes to the bad calls. Heck of a game to be at.
LET'S HEAR IT FOR NEW YOOOOOOORRRK!!!Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.

Despite what the announcers were saying, C of C was gassed at the 7 minute mark of the second half. When a time out was called at 7:02, most all of the Cougars had their hands on their hips, particularly the big men.
The Cougar starters played 38, 38, 37, 34, and 27 minutes.
Thanks to the Shockers tactic of running clock, the Cougars were able to gut it out.
The Shocker starters played more minutes than usual and I kinda liked it. The minutes were Joe - 30, Gabe - 29, Hatch - 29, Murry - 27 and Durley - 27.
The bench minutes were Kyles - 13, Stutz - 13, Ellis - 11, Smith - 11 and Williams - 10."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."
