I say midget in jest as he is taller than me.
Why drag Brauer, a guy that this town reveres, back here so that he can get DOFO'd?

I look forward to following his career and look forward to seeing him on our sideline again some day. He's obviously got a few years ahead of him to learn some things, but I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed to see him leading the Shox some day.

Amen. I'd like to have seen him as an assistant under Marshall, which I expressed last year. But he may have a bit to learn prior to that even.

I'm with you there. But if you also think about it, do you need two guys on the staff with TX as their focus? Unless Gross goes somewhere, I don't think we'll see Braeuer here with Marshall.

Now, if/when Marshall leaves, maybe the man who replaces him would be interested and maybe Matt would be ready?

Well Matt is young and hasn't had the exposure (yet) of the both sides of all the arguments. I might suggest the following:

              1. Matt loves his alma mater and especially the fans who ADORED him, perhaps more than any other Shocker, certainly of his time.

              2. Matt has learned from both Mark and Gregg. 2 men that are pretty well grounded coaches, 2 men that are fiercely devoted to friends and family and 2 men that put many, many things above material goods.

              3. Matt himself is a well grounded, mature, married family man. Loyalty, which is HUGE in coaching, is going to be high on his list.

              4. He know we can win here. He's been a part of it.

              5. Today, as of March 23, 2011, this would be his dream job.

Obviously he's not ready, and Matt knows this better than anyone, but I could think of no man I would be more comfortable with leading our program. He's everything a man and a coach should be.

I would, certainly, second that motion, as he is a favorite of mine! He would put his heart and soul into a job here...

And lets not forget this is where his wife calls home.
