Had reserved and prepaid for 9 tickets to the NCAA tournament in '06 for a bunch of friends. Only 3 of us ended up going...In Greensboro the extra tickets were worth about $5 each. Put them on Ebay for DC. Got an email from a nice lady asking if they were in the WSU section and how much to end the auction on 2 of the best tickets I had. I don't like people to ask me to end auctions early so I emailed her back "$1000 each for front row seats"...she emailed back asking where to send the money. The rest fetched a pretty penny and went to some friendly UCONN fans. In those days I was pretty much on a shoe string budget, but my wife let me go anyway. Those 6 tickets paid for both trips and then some.

In DC, we sold our USED TICKET STUBS - 4 of them - FOR $100 EACH. The arena people were not letting anyone sit in a seat they didn't have a ticket for, and we left after the GMU loss. UConn fans wanted to sit down low bad enough they were willing to pay for our hotel. Crazy. We decided we didn't need a souvenier ticket stub all that badly.
