Here's the deal. This team we play could not be chopped liver and go this deep into the NIT. Even so, guess what? Our beloved Shocks may still have some areas of concern, such as way too much fouling. However, we are peaking when the peaking is good.

We now have "go to" players, we have Rags settled in, 'on point' like a hungry bloodhound, we still have quality depth, and we will have the Chuck bustin at the seams with folk, as we will be rockin and a rollin like a rock stars for all the world to behold. We have visited the dregs and bounced back swingin like Rocky. ADRIAN!!!!!!!!!!! Some teams would have turned their noses up and folded up the tents in dismay. Instead, we get come hither to 21st and Hillside and hopefully over yonder to the Big Apple for a Garden Party. Can u dig that? Groovy!!!!!!!

CofC can't afford to send their walk-ons here to Wichita, even though they have finally made it into the national spotlight. I wish WSU would help them.

Hell I would have donated to get them out here -- that's just plain crap.

I didn't read it all the way through, but I saw something that the NIT pays for up to 25 members of the visiting program in full to the game. I'm not sure as to why C of C cannot bring these people. Around 12 players, 5 coaches/assistants what else could there be that I am missing? Who makes up a contingent of 25 people - someone help me out here.

We need to play with heart and effort. We do that, and I like our chances. No predictions, just hoping the seniors enjoy their last (really!) home game. I have a feeling that will only happen with a W.

Reading the NIT rules it appears they do pay for 25 members of the visiting program BUT they only pay a maximum of $800 per person.

I bet buying airline tickets at the last minute from Charleston, SC to Wichita, KS cost more than $800. That is probably why they can't afford to take everyone. They probably can't afford more than the $20,000 total (25 X $800) that the NIT will pay.

I am just guessing but I bet that is what is going on.

The team has performed poorly at home this year. This could be easily dismissed as a 'fluke' had it been isolated to a game or two, but with the losses at home in conjunction with some close calls at home where the team simply laid an egg for a half, I would call this a trend. Trends are not a good thing in this instance.

True that. I will point out though that we played perhaps our best 40 minutes of basketball against Nebraska at home. Was that enough to break the trend. IDK, but I am very encouraged by how the team has responded, especially Graham and Toure seem to have new life.

I kind of agree KC..I also fell they never really felt like their season was in doubt...blind faith which is good. We needed more change, leadership, maturity, played 10 players all year maybe hurting some development of some players

Trends are the bet always are ...the trend continue and the opposite happens once 3-1,4-1

I believe a change has happened the last 3 games with the team..they have spark of leadership with Rags starting to become a Colonel at pg.

You do this every time on an opposing message board before a "big" game. Nobody wants an opposing fan to come over to another board and rinse and repeat the same overbearing statements over and over. Honestly, how would you feel if some Duke fan or whatever came over here before a game and posted about 10 times how great their arena is, how loud it is, and then continue to post quotes about it from other people?

THEY GET IT. And if they don't, hopefully they get it tomorrow night through their tv's. One way or the other, the crowd and atmosphere of Koch isn't going to win anybody the game.. (and that has been proven in previous NIT games.. - Florida State - and other big games this year - MSU, UNI, VCU, etc.)

Seriously right? Whoever this is, has posted youtube videos of the team entrance saying is this loud enough for ya'? Clue, no one is going to be able to decern the decibel levels of inside Koch arena from a video taken by a cell phone camera and then posted on youtube.
