Their colors appear to be Maroon trimmed in Beige. Very similar to Florida State. If we are going down hopefully the game will be as good as that NIT thriller.
Also MSU and SIU's base color is Maroon which raises bad memories of more recent vintage.
Hopefully, the Shocks bring their memory erasers with them Wednesday.

The team has performed poorly at home this year. This could be easily dismissed as a 'fluke' had it been isolated to a game or two, but with the losses at home in conjunction with some close calls at home where the team simply laid an egg for a half, I would call this a trend. Trends are not a good thing in this instance.
C of C is a quality team. A top tier Valley kind of team. Looking at their schedule, they only have two 'bad' losses at Chattanooga and at App. State. But those teams combined record is 28 and 31 so they were borderline .500 teams. Still better than what our SIU loss at home looks like.
With that said, playing at home for a chance to advance to a big time atmosphere, I couldn't ask for more. Despite playing poorly at home this season, being at home is an advantage. Though disappointed in not making the Dance, I'm happy the team is playing and this will be valuable experience for the underclassman. Perhaps this team is full of late bloomers and they are just now figuring it out.
Goldielocks or whatever his name is (no disrespect meant), is going to get his points. The key to the game is all on the Shox, which is pressure on them and not on C of C. Mr. G will get his, but make damn sure no one else goes off past their usual season averages. The Shox must continue to play 40 minutes like they have the past two games. Continue to hit the perimeter shots as C of C will no doubt crash down low and lastly, the crowd must continue to be loud even when the Shox are in a lull.
I'm predicting a 13 point win if we continue to play like we have in this tourney. If we play like we had at home against, VCU, MSU, UNI, and SIU or hell, even at MSU and ISU away from home we lose by 9.

CoC can't be all bad. Their coach is Leslie Nielsen
President George Bush: Frank, please consider filling a post I'm creating. It may mean long hours and dangerous nights, surrounded by some of the scummiest elements in our society.
Lt. Frank Drebin: You want me to be in your cabinet?
I do not know how to post a pic of their coach, but if you have seen him you would understand.Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.

I think thats a great attitude Doc...I cant say Im quite there yet but Im working on it
I look at it like this: In my lifetime, my team has NEVER gone to New York for the NIT. And I know what the NIT is, and I look for it every year, even if my interest level is minimal. Every sports fan over the age of 21 knows the prestige of the NIT final 4 in Madison Square Garden.
We could be really good in the future and not have a chance, at home, to go to the NIT Finals.
I will enjoy seeing the pride in Gregg's eyes when he sees Coach Kresse, and knowing that the success he is enjoying he is able to show off for his mentor. I will enjoy the opportunity to see my team have the chance to get somewhere the program has never been, and I will bask in the atmosphere. I WILL enjoy the ride.
