If WIBW is carrying the game you should be able to pick it up (580) all the way from KC. If not, you should be able to pick up 1330 before you get to Emporia.

KC to Hutch is 3:37 minutes. Tomorrow is 24 hours long. Is it not possible to schedule 3 hours in to watch the game?
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

I am not in any way, shape or form technically savvy, but I think KNSS streams online, and uses a media company called stream the world that allows for smart phone applications to listen to streaming audio. If I understand correctly, they partner with Entercom and perhaps there's a way to listen as long as you have some kind of smart phone from anywhere there is phone service.

Please feel free to correct me if I am off base here.

I have listened to many a Shocker game over the years driving from KC to Wichita and Topeka to Wichita. That time of day you should be able to pick up the KNSS broadcast well before you get to Emporia.

In fact in the day time I can usually pick up KNSS in my car in Topeka (although there is a lot of static).

For Android phones, try this free App: A Online Radio (AOR)
Then in the search enter 1330 KNSS and you'll get the Shocker broadcast.

iphone users can use an app called tunein radio. You can stream most stations in Wichita, including KNSS.

As a last resort, try what I did back in the day before internet streaming. Have someone on your cell plan, or anyone with free long-distance cell-to-cell sit their phone by the radio and you have a 2.5 hour "phone call" with them.

Desparate times call for desparate measures!

Actually, back in the day, I would call KNSS and ask them to put me on hold so I could listen to the on air broadcast. I haven't tried it in the last couple of years, but I did it A LOT, and I was not only never refused, the phone operator was always gracious and happy to oblige.

Ok, I'm really dumb about all this. But, why do you need an application? I just use my browser to get KNSS and hit the listen on line box.

If your phone doesn't run Flash or Java, an app is an alternate solution.
