I angered alot of my facebook people by equaling Nebraska Basketball fans to KU Football fans.

I have to admit I was somewhat angered by the reverence and coverage given to UNL fans at the start of, and at times during, the broadcast. Their opening shot of the broadcast was of some very unattractive, obese UNL fans wearing t-shirts clearly advertising UNL football.

All I could think to myself was that this is a game in Wichita, not a game in Lincoln; and it's basketball, where WE have the fanbase and support that's the envy of 95% of D1, not the other way around. Heck, I'd be blown away if more than a couple of people I know up north even knew there was a game last night, until they picked up the paper this morning and saw the sports page and the article on the game.... right underneath the lead story on how Bo Pelini's mandatory, daily psychotherapy/AA appointment went.

Dude you'd be blown away at the scale of public works and development fluff that's offloaded on NE taxpayers - specifically Omaha. Makes anything we have to put up with down here seem very minor.
