I'm comparing them to VCU and UAB. Both who beat nobody. VT is more qualified than both of them. WSU is more qualified than VCU. Missouri State was WAY more qualified than VCU. I'm more confused about Harvard not getting in than Colorado or VT.

UAB won the regular season title in a top 10 conference and they had a rpi of 31. While they didn't have any really huge wins they had a lot of good wins (top 100).

I think they deserved a bid.
