  • Number 1 seeds playing early game in Conference Tournaments

I have NEVER understood this, especially when the team they are playing played the day before. Sure it is to maximize rests but how many times have you seen number 1 seeds come out flat and almost lose when they play the early game. It might just be a coincidence but I think having to wake up early, get the game day routine going earlier is actually detrimental for the number 1 seed in the conference tournament.

    Early games suck anyways.

Its all about rest times when it comes to multiple games in back to back to back days. That's more important than playing later.

I get that, but I think the 3:45 game time would be best. Rather than an 11 tip or a 1 o clock tip.

Several of these teams have had numerous early regular season games.

They've had 5 days or more to rest. Anything stated otherwise is a lame excuse.

How come the No.8/9 seeds seem to have no problem getting up for the early games. Hmmm?

I'd say you could argue that the 8/9 team is coming off a victory thus has confidence. I would not agree that is the reason, but an argument could be made. Not sure i've ever seen so many 8/9 seeds give the 1's fits than this year. Missouri St., KU, Ohio St, UNC. I'm sure there are more, but too busy to look it up.

Exactly, there has been several instances like that.

However, KU is starting its normal postseason Choke Job.

Didn't really wanna start a new thread but the Big Ten plays some of the most anemic, ugliest basketball I have ever seen. How they possibly could be considered a "good, deep conference" simply based on their BCS status is amazing.

3 minutes into the second half, Penn State running Wisconsin out of the barn 20-16. And yes, that is 3 minutes into the SECOND half.

Final: 36-33 Penn St. Now that was a real piece of work.

Didn't bother flipping to that game after I saw that score. That was seriously the final?

                  Wow. Fugly.

Jimmer himself would have only lost by 17 to BOTH teams.

Was the shot clock broken? That's embarrassing.
