I was thinking that we were going to show other schools how Shocker fans were different and support our team no matter how bad we think they are. But from what I've been reading on here, that might not be the case. It sounds like we are no different than any other school's fans.

I guess we'll see who the real Shocker supporter are come NIT time.

Yeah, can't wait to get worked over by another top 100 team. Should be fun.

I dont care what anyone else thinks. I am okay with many fans staying home for a home NIT game. I think it would show the team that we are beyond dissapointed in their season. And even if it doesnt who cares... I love the Shockers but I think I love them too much because I am so hurt about not even getting to the finals! When someone I love hurts me, I am not in the mood to give them another chance for a while. And I think thats perfectly normal human reaction.
Of course I will watch the game on TV and support them in the future.

Go Shocker Baseball! Lets have a good year and get to the CWS

If you want to hold your head high and support this team no matter what, thats fine don't judge anyone else. I still support the team, like many others, but maybe just not to the extent I would have had we made the dance.
Trust me I bleed Gold and Black, but sometimes for me I need to keep a distance from things I like too much so it doesnt hurt me as bad.

Wsu fans are no different than any other fans. Better than some but worse than others.

Oh I think its just a very very natural reaction to the end of a season with nothing but epic failure written all over it. Its time the coaching staff take some blame. I love the shockers ...I am so very dissapointed with todays effort and I am insulted that coach marshall didnt come out and speak with Mike Kennedy...As Kennedy pointed out that he wasnt talking to players because many players had come out and much of the MVC press people were just roaming around.
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Even though tonight i plan to skip the NIT game, I'll be at the Gregg Marshall auction, with a table full of people my wife and I have recruited to come support the program. Maybe I will see you there.

I was wrong about this season and especially this tournament.

IF we are lucky enough to get another home game I will be there to support the PLAYERS because they deserve it for giving their all throughout their careers and this season.

I'll give 3G a pass on not coming out. We're devastated with the loss and the effort as fans. 3G is no doubt just as frustrated and disappointed as the fans, probably more so.

If it was his last and only opportunity to talk about the game that is one thing. But he will have his coach's show on Monday and we'll see what he has to say.

I doubt that anything he would say today or will say on Monday is going to make me feel any better about today's game.

I'm torn because I totally understand what you're saying, but part of me wonders why coach doesn't actually COACH like he's pissed or that the season is on the line. He seems like an NBA coach who stands there and lets the game just happen.

I know right! Did he even call a Timeout at all in the 2nd half? I guess he feels he coaches them enough during media timeouts....

You guys amaze me. Just what do you thing the Shocker fan base did for 12-13 years until MT started having some success. I would venture very, very few fans of schools at this level have shown as much support over such rough times. Heck, even schools with generally good success probably don't get as much support. We now have a quality venue, a near million $ coach, a growing young team over the last few years who had reasonable expectations placed by many, not just the fans. The last third of this season has been a big mystery and let down. Fans are going to vent and , in this case, justifiably. Most, many of whom you've chosen to question their fandom here, will get over it. They've not jumped off the wagon, they've just questioned and had misgivings on how and where the wagon's been driven.

And quite frankly, I don't give a dam* how other schools think of us and I am pretty sure some of them don't care how much we support our team and the rest are probably envious. It can be just as tiresome reading your holier-than-thou attitude about being a "real" fan as it may be reading others venting.
