Ralphie, from A Christmas Story, Beats Up Farkus, the neighborhood bully, in a tirade of obscenities. Watch more here: http://youtu.be/DLX3CjiT_70
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

We all need to root for the "1 bid league", just to be certain MSU doesn't get the sympathy bid for being wronged several years ago. I do wish this chant would have started so Doug Elgin could benefit from it as well.

Maybe MSU will still sneak in but VCU beating George Mason doesn't help their case.

The Bracket Buster performance by the MVC will also be tough for the selection committee to overlook with MSU having one of the worst performances.

Average score in the MVC Tournament games was 60-53. That's not exactly going to turn any head either.

If it wasn't for Weems and Creekmore I wouldn't mind seing MSU make considering their past slights. But those two jerks make it pretty easy to root agaisnt MSU making it this year.

MSU in 2006 and 2007 deserved to be in wayyyyy more than the 2011 team.

They really don't have a resume worth sending in, which is fine by me.

Last 4 in just get a stupid play-in game anyway.

Not necessarily. Depends on where they are seeded. The bottom 4 seeds are in the play-in games which could include some automatic qualifiers.

At least that is how I understand it. I could easily be wrong though.

I think MSU will make it though.

Automatic bids are guaranteed NOT to play in the play-in round, except for seeds 65-68.

Not a chance. No quality wins. An epic fail in BracketBusters, and winning the 13-rated conference = No NCAA's.

Not to mention they looked unimpresssive in St. Louis and they looked like garbage on national tv today. WSU losing in the semis made the Valley look weaker too.

                      They are an NIT team.

That statement seems contradictory. If their is an exception then there is no guarantee. However, I don't think the last 4 teams in, if that could even be know, are automatically in the play-in rounds are they?

The "last four in" aren't necessarily the bottom four. In fact, they rarely are.

There's 4 play-in games this year. 2 of them are the regular play-ins we are accustom to, with those games being bottom conference foes battling for 2 No.16 seeds.

Then the other 2 play-in games are for the last 4 teams that make the at-large field. They may be playing for a combination of an 11 seed, 12 seed, maybe a 13 seed, depends on how it all works out. If you win your conference tournament, you are automatically eliminated from the possibility of playing in the play-in round. It's only for at-large teams.

What does that say about the state of Valley basketball? Not only is it a one bid conference but a 13 loss team is representing us to boot. Flat out embarrassing, but I'll take it as long as SMS didn't go dancin.
