From today's Eagle- 'There are no dominant guards, like you saw (from 2003-2007) where it wasn't even close- the best players, the top five guy were all guards.'
Wow... he must not remember a few guys named Paul Miller, Eric Coleman, Grant Stout, Patrick O'Bryant, Kyle Wilson, Anthony Tolliver, Marcellus Sommerville... one of those guys was drafted in the 1st round (O'Bryant), and another has had a pretty nice NBA career (Tolliver). Miller was POY in 2006, which automatically puts him the 'top five' category.
Maybe it's because Lowery didn't have any good big guys...
