Looks like we play the winner of the Drake/Bradley game.

Cuonzo Martin’s Missouri State Bears take the No. 1 seed into the State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Championship, which begins Thursday, March 3, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Missouri State, which was the No. 10 seed at the tourney two years ago, is the top seed for the first time in its 21-season affiliation with the MVC. The Bears had been the only current member that had never won the league’s regular-season crown or No. 1 tournament seed.

I truly believe we have the easier side of the bracket. I wouldn't at all be surprised if Creighton or UNI took down the Bears. On the other hand, I would be shocked ( no pun intended) if we weren't playing Sunday.

Me too, newshock. In fact, if I hadn't been giving my three-year-old a bath, I'd have beaten you to the punch.

Of course, we may now both look foolish, but all that has to happen is for Creighton to figure out that they're better than they've been playing.

I love the bracket. It pours a little sunshine on an otherwise foggy day! After yesterday, I need a little sunshine!

On paper, it does looks like we have the easier path to the championship game, but I wouldn't get too over confident. I remember before the season started when we were picked for 1st, we were saying how the MVC is down this year and how winning the regular season would be a cakewalk. It didn't quite work out that way. You can't take any team for granted.
