  • possibility of winning the conference wednesday

Hopefully we beat Creighton and Missouri State loses to Southern Ill. and everyone will forget about this game

NONE 0% CHANCE. Whatever happens on Tuesday doesn't matter. We still have to beat SWOMO in Springfield on Saturday to win the conference.

Not a chance. MVC is a one-bid conference. Gotta win on March 6 or NIT here we come!

St Louis or go home (to the NIT, maybe, where a probable, yikes, home game looms).

            It'll probably be against Nevada.

Incorrect. For seeding purposes, we have to beat SWOMO to garner the No.1 seed.

However, if we finish tied in the standings, even if swept by SWOMO, we're still co-champions.

Technically the conference only crowns one champion- the winner of the Valley tournament in St. Louis. The regular season as far as the conference is concerned just sets the seeding for the Valley tournament. The regular season champion is just something that the schools themselves claim. So yeah, if we tie SWOMO in the standings we can claim whatever we want.

If you're gonna get technical about everything, then you need to edit your first post in this thread.

I was just getting over the MSU loss when we lost to SIU. After the SIU Loss, this loss has no affect on me. Infact, I kinda expected this one. We cannnot win a bracket buster game. And sure as heck not on our home floor. Then throw in the fact we were without Hatch and it has the makings of a disaster.

And I got chastised by SF because I was glad we were playing VCU instead of George Mason. Mason beat VCU like they were a red headed stepchild.

And we still lost, so your chickenshit comment looks even more pussified.

I beg to differ, I was talking about the 'reality' of the situation, and it flat slapped us in the face!

So I guess you would never want the opportunity to play KU in Koch?

If we're gonna lose and find out who we really are, fine. I'd rather do that than beat the holy hell out of Alabama A&M or Texas Southern and be "happy and satisfied".

After watching Mason struggle to beat UNI, I wasn't very impressed with Mason.

I think we match up better with Mason and would have had a better chance of beating them than VCU.
