We sucked the first half after the coach took Ragland out of the game with 2 fouls and the Shocks leading 17-11. The Shocks played better in the second half. The Ref really really sucked with .8 seconds left. The Shocks lose by 1 point.
The Shocks forgot that their strength is getting the ball inside. I think I counted two entry passes the entire 2nd half. And that was after no entry passes the last 10 minutes of the first, by my count. Yet the few times we did get it inside something good happened.
We continued to be lazy at home and suffered another embarrassing loss on national TV. Failed the eye test, turning a 12-point home win into a turd - on national TV. A lock for a NIT home loss against a fundamentally-sound team like Utah State.

the only positive about the NIT would be a possible 1 or 2 seed. if this happens...the shox need to get pumped up and be on a freakin mission to win the gosh darn tourny. VCU won the CBI last year....
and I think a tournament championship ..no matter what the tournament is...would be a positive for this team.
Pay attention to Selection Sunday if they lose in finals of the WAC tourny. It will be spelled...Utah State.
There's a difference between being at-large now and being at-large on Selection Sunday.
If WSU loses in the finals of The Valley tourney, they'll probably get a bid too assuming they win out the rest of the way.
Here is the part where the monkeys start appearing out of very suspect looking crevices of the body. Sorry been around too many blocks to believe that one.

Last year's WAC was much stronger than this year's WAC. And USU's Strength of Schedule will probably be in the 200s by the time the season finishes. There is absolutely nothing that would put them in the discussion for an at-large bid any more than a team like Coastal Carolina or Belmont.
