  • Graham's out

Right now it appears that Graham won't be playing.

He has a bone bruise. And bones chips floating around in his ankle. It hasn't healed yet. So it's gonna take some time before he comes back.

I was gonna say that I'm completely sure that he won't play, but, maybe he'll tough it out unexpectedly. I doubt it though.

It's good to have depth. Ben Smith is ready to take over a starting spot. In an running uptempo game, he may have been the starter any way.

I announce open season on guessing the backup for Smith. This could be our first glimpse at how next year's team shapes up. I'm guessing Murry gets some minutes backing up Smith and Kyles gets his minutes bumped.

That may depend on whether Kyles or Williams is currently buried the deepest in the Marshall's doghouse.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

David may be as big an enigma as we have had in years.

I noticed he was in quite a bit of pain and didn't return the other night. Hopefully he can recover soon as he's a much needed part of our depth. I had a feeling it was worse than they first thought but hadn't heard anything. I'd love to see the Stormin' Mormon back on the court again.

Graham has been warming up with the team. Haven't noticed him limping anything . I bet he plays.

Even at 100% I think GH would struggle with matchups against VCU. Combine that with a soft ankle, and I would be quite surprised to see him tonight.

Let it heal for conference games.

Anybody else think his absence was worth more than one point? Especially in the first half when they were beating us to loose balls.

No doubt. We absolutely missed his toughness.

He wasn't available, we lost, if his toughness was missing....it's on his teammates for not picking him up!

You can't tell me Hatch wasn't the difference in this game.

Only if he had taken minutes away from TM and not Ben.

Really? I think both should got too many minutes. Toure had 33 and Ben had 32. Both of them were running tired in the last four minutes. Toure didn't have a terrible game, he just had some bad shots. I noticed him playing some minutes at the 3, which has to affect his game some. OTOH, Ben didn't have a spectacular game, but he did have some nice rebounds.

A lot of those bad shots came from bad decisions. And he better get used to playing the 3 again, because he'll see a lot less 1 next year. He actually played quite a bit of 2 tonight, as Kyles is seeing a lot less time.

That last attempted blocked shot by Ben Smith on Rodriguez was spectacular, though, ShoxFan963. That was really something. Rodriguez didn't stand a chance.. until..
