Is a spectacular crowd / student section possible friday?
in terms of the OVERALL crowd, the first of rodriguezs' first two free throws was the loudest i've heard it since iowa,'80.I realize it was just one moment, but my ears were ringing.
Loud, but not as loud as the Evansville debacle last year. There was blood FLOWING from my eyes as the kid missed that first free throw.
Student dance was awesome; just needs to spread to the whole section.
Crowd rocked; team did not.
Yeah it was those damned greeks doing that crap. Who was it on here that was trashing the greeks about being trashed and not worth a damn.
That would be fastbow, who basically claimed the student section was incapable of being organized and halfway decent.
Yep. He won't be back in here for a while.
I still stand by my comments about the greek system.
You're a sad LIL' FELLAR... x 2.
Excuse me for not lining up to slobber the knobs of a bunch of alcoholics who paid $300 to hang out with other alcoholics. Other organizations do all the good at half the cost and with none of the social isolation and liver failure.

I am watching the Long Beach-Montana game right now on espn2. At first I thought at least Long Beach plays in a decent sized arena.
But their arena is deceptive. While it looks like it might hold 8,000 to 10,000 on TV, it only holds 4000. (I was curious, so I checked their web-site online).
So it isn't really much bigger than a high school gym.
I think it smacks of me-too-ism in a place that should be a national leader, not a follower of a traditionless program like UNI. But to each their own.
Concerned about "me-too-ism" yet propogates false and naive stereotypes about the greek system. Yawn.

Address my arguments. Where am I wrong?
False and naive stereotypes are things like "all black people eat watermelon and fried chicken," or "all Irishmen are red-headed violent drunks who live on potatoes." Easily proven wrong.
Was I a bit harsh? Maybe, but I will stand by what I said. The greeks get far too much credit for what they do.

"You Just Want to Slap The #### Outta Some People"
So, getting back to the original topic of this thread... how about if we all agree that whatever the problem is with Koch Arena this year, it's not the crowd? They could scarcely have been -- or looked -- much better, and yet the team dozed off again. How loud does the alarm clock have to be?
Instead of trying to whip up the crowd during the game, Marshall needs to do his work ahead of time: have the guys pack their bags before the Creighton game, ride out to where they normally leave via the charter, hang around for awhile, and then all take a bus over to Coach's house for a sleepover Tuesday night.
Oh, and by the way: Ragland did not foul Rodriguez.
