  • Our hopes rest with Northern IOWA

I hate to say that but if they beat George Mason on Friday that could be significant. It would raise some eyebrows at the very least and help elevate our status for sure.

George Mason is the hottest team on the bubble right now and has a super RPI. I don't feel good about UNI's chances but it they can pull it off it would certainly give our conference and us a boost.

Go Panthers! Don't roll over now! Of course, it means nothing if we lose.

The way Mason is playing right now, they'll roll through their conference tourny and get the auto-bid.

The game I'm most concerned with is VCU vs WSU...seriously.

Ben's pretty familiar with that league. Beat Oldy Dominion last year. It would be a big boost for us for UNI to do well. I'll be rooting for them.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

It would be a big boost if the Valley went 10-0 in bracket busters...

And I thought we were pals! :-x

It's OK. I guess for the same reason I should root for VCU to beat you guys.

But...I just can't do it. I mean, I get the whole mid-major conference solidarity thing and all, but I just can't root for our hated rival (well, maybe I could, but our RPI is pretty good and -- barring a collapse in other games we should win handily and an early exit in our tourney -- we're probably in good shape to be dancing).

So I'm still Shocker Lover. :goshocks:

              Beat VCU!

I think I know where you're coming from. If you guys were playing Creighton, I don't think I could root for the BJ's. Seriously, I couldn't do it. But the fact of the matter is sCUm is not relevant this year and hasn't been for a while, which is just fine in my eyes.

We are obviously way down on the bubble while you guys are comfortably in. An NIU win would help us so as much as it pains me, I have to root for the Floppers. But only in this instance. After that, I am all M-A-S-O-N.

By the way, very impressive win tonight. A complete dismantling at a tough place to play. You guys will be picked pretty far in my bracket next month. :good:
                Deuces Valley.
                ... No really, deuces.

Larranaga. I have to wonder if he won't be in the basketball hall of fame one day.. He coaches team defense that well.

The bottom line is, WE should have been playing George Mason, not UNI. The Bracket Busters predictors really missed this year.

Yep, but they can't predict that a team is going to fall flat on it's face, while another moves up.

The rub, however, was at the time of the selection, GMU and WSU were better matched than who both ended up getting.
