  • WSU VERSUS N. IOWA PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME PRATTLE

Here's the deal. So much for my MTXE speech. I was so flustered after the SIU debacle, I was compelled for the first time ever on SN, to walk the plank, and pick us to lose this N. Iowa game. The problem become as follows: "the Shox will NOT allow this team to sweep us." Thus, our beloved Shox will come out with "the eye of the tiger mentality" and therefore win by the score of:::::::

    Shox----------- 70

    No-sweepers---68

To do this, the last play goes as follows: The Shocks are down by 1 with 21 seconds left to play. "I got you Gabe" throws a pass down the Hatch to Graham, over to hip hip :poster_toure: to the Clutch Stutz, who swings a crisp pass to Joe with 3 tics on the clock, who fires up the keeper that takes us from Rags to Riches, that cleans some egg off our face, as the panthers eat crow. The Shox are still unbeaten sunshine pumpers "on the road again" Valley games, if anyone cares--and we really do. Can u dig it? Groovy!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Jacobson out coaches GG, WSU shooting woes continue to keep UNI in the game. WSU gets another chance to figure out who should take the last shot.

We've been as consistent as you can ask for--on the road. I think we win this one. Who knows by how much.

WSU can't beat a team missing two starters, now they play a program missing their heart and soul in O'Rear. This definitely means a loss for the Shox on national TV.

But then how do you explain the other 6 road wins and our 11 conference wins?

You're probably right, but I think this team is so inconsistent right now that they could win this one by 15, so what the hell, I'm going for it.

              WSU - 66
              NIU - 51

I think I've lost my mind after last night.

              ... No really, deuces.

If this was another homer I would pick them to lose after their last fiasco, but since we have such a tremendous road winning streak going, let's ride the horse til it ends.

                  Shocks by 5.

I believe this game is the key to the remainder of the season. If there ever was a must win, this is it. A bounce back win will likely catapult us to a strong finish; a loss will send us spiraling out of control. We have too much talent to falter and I’m betting on an impressive road win and a strong finish. I followed this team all the way to Maui and still believe this will be a very special season.

I’m an optimist… the Shocks ease our pain and go the distance.

                    Us – 72
                    Them - 62

I hope the coaching staff has come up with a way to get these young men ready to play a ball game, regardless of the location or the opponent. As far as being on National Television, are we not completely overdue for a victory, even against the almighty Panthers of Cedar Falls, Iowa? Here's to continuing an already impressive road winning streak and showing some confindence and poise on the National stage. Go Shocks!!

It is hard for me to believe that the Shocks won't play very hard on Saturday night.

Now how well they will play is very hard to predict. I thought Gabe was very energetic against SIU, but he could not throw it in the ocean.

Time for the Shocks to man up and show us what they are really made of.

                              No prediction.
