    Hope you're right Joe. I tend to agree.

      I thought @UNI was a toss-up and @MSU was a loss earlier. I think @UNI can be penciled in without O'Rear. @MSU I'm expecting victory, but I will feel a lot better if we have clinched by then.

        I think people really underestimated how much O'Rear meant to UNI. It doesn't show up in the box score, but other than KA and AJ, he was their MVP.

          If I were predicting, that would be my prediction. But I can't remember the last time I didn't think the Shox would win a game.

            I agree about O'Rear's value to their team. He's sorta their enforcer.

            What scares me is that Jacobson is such a good coach that he will have the team adapting to a slightly different style of play with O'Rear out of the line-up. By the time we play them, they will have made the adjustment.

            I still think the Shocks win, but it isn't a gimme.

              The stars are aligning for the Shox this year. With O'Rear out and MSU starting to slip, I can see us gliding through the rest of the conference undefeated. Our guys must stay focused and not take anyone for granted. If they come out every game with intensity, we can do this.

                What troubles me the most is electricmayham's standing in the pick em contest. :D

                  We have a revenge factor going for us vs. both UNI and MSU. The Shocks should be ready for both.

                    ... and his mid-season Valley honors.

                    Durley is easily first team.
                    Toure easily second team.
                    Smith and/or Blair honorable mention depending on how the two close out the season.

                        Shockers probabilities are (not including bracket buster)

                        5 wins - 16%
                        >=4 wins - 56%
                        >=3 wins - 88%
                        >=2 wins - 99%

                        So hopefully there will not be some great meltdown if the Shox do lose one game, but if the Shocks do win all 5 there should be partying!!!

                        These probabilities don't really take in account of SIU 3 suspension or O'Rear Loss for UNI so these probabilities should be higher (5 wins ~25% is my guess).

                          Hope you're right Danno, but I'm not expecting us to glide through anything (other than maybe SIU and I'm not taking that for granted). I expect that all three remaining road games will be tough. VCU and Creighton aren't slam dunks either the way we have played at home this year. We still have a big target on our backs and we have plenty of hard work in front of us. If we win out than we will have EARNED any positive pub we receive.

                            Well done! I can't argue that -- although I'm running 68% against the spread (44-65) on MVC league games. I'm pleased with that!

                              And in my opinion, that is the way it should be just about 90% of the time.

                              There is no reason WSU should not have at least two players take two spots out of the 10 available spots in the first two categories nearly every blasted year.
