Here's the deal. MTXE, is the breakfast, dinner, and suppa of Shocker Champions. No matter whom we play, we have to keep improving and not playing down to weaker teams, not looking past any game, and executing and building upon the areas that make us successful. I like the idea that we have been playing team ball and keeping our turnovers under 10. We are playing closer to 40 minutes of solid basketball now than earlier on. We are rebounding well, shooting the ball better as we utilize our bigs more and more, keeping our own fouling to a mild roar, and moving that ball briskly, in unselfish fashion.
Our bench many times outscores our starters. Ben Smith, Gabe, and Stutz are bringing forth their A games. Even so, these positive trends have to improve as we continue forward. Our toughest games are yet to come. I WANT THIS TEAM TO DEVELOP A KILLER INSTINCT. I don't mean running up the score. I mean put teams away as early as possible where they can't just hang around and get lucky. This process seems to be more in action as of late. We did not have to wait until the 2nd half last night to take a commanding lead. Can u dig it? Groovy!!!!!!!
