        Ideal scenario:

UNI and MSU both stumble today (and a couple more times, including when they play us), we win the league by 3 games, the Valley sweeps all of their Bracketbuster games (raising the conference RPI), and we win in St. Louis.

Just for the fun of pointless speculation, if that impossible yet ideal scenario were to actually play out, what sort of tourney seed do you think we would get?

Unfortunately it is really looking like that. Let's hope we can do something we have never done before- win it all in the Lou.

Four straight years of being a one bid league may be the death knell to this conference. After getting multiple bids in all but 2 years from 1994 to 2007, this conference has really fallen in national esteem.

The weird part is that this conference's rpi the last four years has been much stronger than it was for most of that period. During the 90s, the Valley was mostly the 12th to 14th best conference year in and out.

We improve to a top 10 conference starting in 2004 and our image with the committee falls.

Having the regular season champ regularly win in St. Louis has been the big difference between, say, 2001-2003 and 2008-2010.

If we win out and lose the final in St. Louis, the MVC would once again get multiple bids.

Not with no top 50 wins. Let's hope SMS doesn't lose any more except to us. That appears to be our last chance at a top 50 win.

Yep. That's the key with the multiple bid thing. The league champ has won it every year since 2008.

                ... No really, deuces.

Well, maybe we should think less about scheduling Alabama A&M and Texas Southern, and more about scheduling better middies.

If you don't want things that make it easier for a Valley title, then really I don't see what January and February mean to you.

According to the Valley Fans board, Drake won by 3.

                    72-69 or something like that.
