Makes it that much easier for us but they will be back in time to play MSU at SIU. Maybe Teague will come back with a purpose.

interesting that both the announcement and commentary came from the athletic office and not the coach...

The disaster that is the SIU basketball program right now is difficult to put into words.

This article is far more disturbing as far as I am concerned.

This is the MVC. I doubt Eric Sexton is in the group of ADs Mario has "talked" to..or at least he better not be.

This is our MVC. And people think I am crazy when I tell them the conference "has it out for WSU".

Not sure this will have much of an effect on SUI's performance. Long hasn't been playing much lately; since he came back, Teague has only played more than 16 minutes once in the last 5 games; Cleveland sees the most time of the 3, but generally isn't much of a scorer.

Has anyone mentioned this is a down year for the MVC? We need teams like SIU and yes, even Creighton to be strong in this conference. It only helps but can hurt us from time-to-time, so be it. This one bid conference crap is getting tiresome, what are we, the Summit League?

                    Taken from SaluikiTalk

                    0460 BATTERY Eugene N. Teague, 21,
Vineland, NJ; Mykel A. Cleveland, 21,
Mobile, AL; Troy L. Long, 21, Cincinnati,
OH; all SIUC students and were issued
Carbondale City notice to appear citations
for battery and released. The victim, a 20-
year-old male, SIUC student, did not
                    require medical treatment. (110203013)

Battery is the criminal offence whereby one party makes physical contact with another party with the intention to harm them. In order to constitute battery, an offense must be intentional and must be committed to inflict injury on another. Battery is different from a similar offense called assault. An assault is any attempt to threaten or attack another party. Physical contact is not required to constitute an assault.

The happiest school in the league is Creighton...they should be able to maintain a nice lead over SIU now in the battle for Thursday night.
