Say hello to 7,000 fans again, because the only game we're gonna draw more than 8k will be the WSU game.
The sad thing is that the Creighton game was one of the best atmospheres at an MSU athletic event E V E R. And we will probably never see it again.
We had a chance to make this season something truly special, but now we can just kiss it goodbye.
We are NIT bound, because there is no way in hell we can pull off a miracle run and win in St. Louis without any depth.
On the depth issue, I haven't been paying any attention to which class each of the current MSU contributing players are in, but how many them were brought in by Martin? Is he a decent recruiter, or is he going to bolt after this year and leave them in a world of hurt?[/quote]
There's a term for that too. It's calle Foglerizing.
MSU fans know that this year is their window. They lose Creekmore, Mallett, Leonard and Ricks. That's four of their top five scorers. Next year it will be Weems, Patterson, Scheer and ???
The Valley next year is going to be abysmal. UNI loses Kwadzo, O'Rear and Dunham. CU may not be much better than this year as they lose Lawson, Korver, Ashford and Runnels. It looks like it will be WSU, InSU and UE at the top.
Ugh, did I just say that?
Drake will improve dramatically too. Lots of freshmen and sophomores this year.

Yeah. I was looking at the earlier today. A lot of teams, including the Shocks, losing some quality players. Next year could be a real scramble. Another one-bid year looks almost like a certainty next year.
Indiana State loses Carter, Kelly and Martin so they won't be unscathed either.
However, the newcomers perform next year may go a long well in determining how the league goes.
As far as the Shocks go hopefully Carl Hall can make a quick transition to D-1 ball and it would be nice if EO could show major improvement.

Or maybe getting Turgeonated.
To be fair, our best player is a Turgeon recruit, Gal was pretty good but not Marshall's guy, we had one more year of PJ and Matt and ShockRef's boyfriend is a Turgeon recruit.
Opportunity continues to knock for the Shocks. As I said thrice, Mo State may have peaked early, and was due to stub their toe. This is typical in Mo Valley play.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Agreed, Royal, but we lose as much, if not more, than any MVC team.
