From their board their guards suck and Martin needs to do what he said he would, bring in players that can compete with BCS teams. Martin also didn't do a good job of coaching. He didn't change up defenses and had the wrong player in. So, they don't just suck, so does their coach.

Had the wrong players in? Who else can he use? LOL Those silly hillbillies!!!

        • I just checked Warren Nolan out and saw that Evansville is up to 107 in the RPI now. If they get some more wins (hopefully against UNI and not us), they could end up in the top 100.

              • RealTimeRPI did have MSU losing to UE, but not by double digits. They also have them losing to Valparaiso in the BB.

                  • EU and ISU are tied for 4th, not 3rd or 5th.

They both have the 4th best records in the MVC.

Oh, and we may have been "Evansvilled" last year, but clearly EU is much better than last year.

Say hello to 7,000 fans again, because the only game we're gonna draw more than 8k will be the WSU game.

The sad thing is that the Creighton game was one of the best atmospheres at an MSU athletic event E V E R. And we will probably never see it again.

We had a chance to make this season something truly special, but now we can just kiss it goodbye.

We are NIT bound, because there is no way in hell we can pull off a miracle run and win in St. Louis without any depth.
On the depth issue, I haven't been paying any attention to which class each of the current MSU contributing players are in, but how many them were brought in by Martin? Is he a decent recruiter, or is he going to bolt after this year and leave them in a world of hurt?[/quote]

There's a term for that too. It's calle Foglerizing.

                      • I believe four of their starters are seniors. Of course Weems is back next year. Martin brought in at least one of the starters, Ricks a juco transfer and I think their point guard who transferred from a D-1 school. Nathan Sheer is a good looking freshman.

Agreed. Our three last roadies are all going to be tough ones. If we were to get 2 out of 3, would we now want the loss to be to EU? That is presuming we take care of business at home of course.

We certainly don't want the Bears losing to Valpo.

Don't get me wrong, I think we can take them. We're a good road team that seems to be peaking at the right time, which is more dangerous than anything for the opposition.

All I'm sayin' is, we all know we have lots of work to do. Let's hope our 'stumble' games were the MO State and UNI games at home.

Gonna enjoy it while I can though!
Agreed. It feels pretty good right now.

                              • MSU fans know that this year is their window. They lose Creekmore, Mallett, Leonard and Ricks. That's four of their top five scorers. Next year it will be Weems, Patterson, Scheer and ???

The Valley next year is going to be abysmal. UNI loses Kwadzo, O'Rear and Dunham. CU may not be much better than this year as they lose Lawson, Korver, Ashford and Runnels. It looks like it will be WSU, InSU and UE at the top.

Ugh, did I just say that?
