Me too. Let's just blame it all on Dana. He lied to us. The other thing that cracked me up was when Matty P. said he knew all of this last year while sitting in a sports bar talking to former players.

The other 3 seniors don't count. The kids on the bench, or redshirting, are just resting, preparing to POUNCE with God's own fury next season.

They will return the NOY (and only dominate big man in the league), the best PG, the best coach and the FOY (soon to be 3 time POY or 4 time POY if the voters don't discriminate against freshmen) in addition to the best recruiting class in the history of the Valley, all of whom will fight for FOY honors next year.

Only a bad case of smallpox will stop the BJs from coasting to yet another undisputed Valley title (or 1st in at least a decade).

Warning: many typos, factual mistakes and overall narcissism. How this passes as Rivals quality journalism is beyond me.

Matt is very crafty at his art. The way he calls out the players that he covers is done with such elegance and professionalism. Mattstrodomus saw it coming, thats why you pay him the big bucks. I just wish he would go into more detail on how he saw it coming. Was it when he picked creighton to finish 2nd in the valley? Was it when he claimed CU had the best frontcourt in the valley hands down? Maybe I'll have to get in touch with one of the 10 people that pay for his site to see what he says in his next article for answers.

edit: It appears he saw it coming when he talked to some former players at Sundeckers last year. Makes sense.

I do not make that comment without having some information on the topic. Remember - Ras has already said that he will pull Men's Soccer out of the league if they don't host the MVC tournament next year.

There is talk that Double GG is going after the Tenn. job pretty hard and he also has been shopping himself around every offseason ... he can't interview though.... 1 conversation with an AD and they run away ... that's why he hasn't left yet. He will soon enough....

It depends on what happens with the BCS schools. I've been told this a few times - "In five years, the valley will not have the current membership that it does now." That's from high up people .... change is coming - just a matter of when.

yes - that's why I think CU could leave in the future. In fact, I hope they do. Creighton needs to get some name teams in their league to sell tickets at the Qwest. Folks are sick of Evansville and Indiana State.

So to summarize:
1.) Creighton will be leaving the Valley because they suck so bad they can't get a good bracketbuster game. How come we didn't hear about any of this in the mid-2000's?
2.) The sCUm AD is threatening to leave the Valley if they don't host the Soccer Championship..
3.) Marshall is an a-hole and won't get hired anywhere because of it.
4.) The Valley won't be the Valley in count'em... 5 years.
5.) sCUm should leave the Valley because nobody wants to watch them play the Indiana schools. It has nothing to do with the fact that they are a bunch of Nebraska fans anyways, nor the fact that their team sucks.

I doubt most of it is true, but if the stuff about Creighton threatening to leave because of Bracketbusters and wanting to host a Soccer Championship, that is perfect. Wahhhhhhhhh. If we don't get what we want, we're outta here.

the valley not being the valley in 5 years might come to fruition. keep an eye on the big 12. in the next 5 years their tv rights will need to be renegotiated. and since espn has texas a lot of leverage is gone.

Part of the problem with the new conference chatter is that we have a prominent baseball program that does not want to expand into the frozen north. Marquette, Xavier, DePaul and those attractive "no football" schools are up in the ice belt. But the idea that fans do not want to see EU or ISU blue has some merit.

A league where WSU is the northern school would be bad-a. For baseball that is.

Too bad there isn't but a handful of non football playing schools in okie, Tex, ark, and Louisiana.

WSU, ORU, UALR, UTA, Corpus Christi, New Orleans (they are leaving d1).

Thats a sucky basketball league and only 5 teams anyways.
