I don't cheer for K-State, but I guess I don't wish 'em ill either -- so this thread is a little bad karma for me.

But that animated poll thingy is really cool!

One thing I will say from viewing K-State's results is that a lot of their losing is actually expected -- most of it is against good teams as away games (with a couple notable exceptions).

The last half of their conference season against tough competition is at home, so we might actually see a little rebound -- if they have any players left.

I understand that in 06-07 the Shocks worked their way up from unranked to #8, but has any team really "earned" their ranking in early December? Was WSU the 8th best team in the nation? I don't know, maybe so at that time.

I just think it is bad karma to delight, or get some sense of satisfaction, out of another state school's demise. It really has no bearing on WSU, unless they play us, then we need the RPI boost.

I agree with you 100% dont_taze_me_bro. There's no need to wish ill will upon K-State. I happen to like the Wildcats almost as much as the Shockers, and there's nothing wrong with that. At one time I was also a KU fan, until I got smart and realized that their coach is a *****. I think that bad karma could come from this, so I won't be too surprised if we lose tonight now. And lose quite a few games the rest of the season. I hope we don't, and I also hope that the Cats get it turned around. I'd love to see all 3 of the Kansas teams in the NCAA tournament, with KU getting knocked out in the first round. :D

I always thought that if you were touching a person being tazed that you pretty much got tazed too? Sort of like how they call out 'CLEAR' when they are sticking the defibrilator paddles on someone.

nope, as long as both probes are in the one person your ok.

no if one is in you, and the other in the other person...you'll get zapped as long as your touching (or through a chain of people)
