  • Mid Major Top 25 - Shox # 7

    Stolen from Rivals.

Gone are the days when this program was considered a national contender.

I hope Gene gets a copy of this and posts it in the club house as a tool to motivate these guys this season.

Those were the days, I am afraid that they are long gone.

TCU,Louisville and Fresno St. have all been to Omaha in recent seasons. We can do it again but gone are the days of going year after year.If we are going to do it,I think this year has to be it.

I agree with you. It is a lot harder to get to Omaha than it used to be. Even the big powerhouses from the big football leagues don't make to Omaha as much as they used to go.

I am just hoping we get there again in the next few years.

Well, it is definitely hard for WSU to get there when they can't even get to a regional.

The only team that hasn't been to another CWS that was in the 1996 CWS with WSU is Auburn.

                FSU 6
                Clemson 5
                Florida 4
                LSU 8
                Okie St. 2
                Alabama 3

In the last 15 years, 78% of the participants in the CWS is by teams with 3 or more appearances.
