Couple questions:
1) Does anyone know the seating capacity: current stadium vs. the new one?

2) And, i haven't been to Omaha in a few years - what's the general public opinion on the format these days. it's strung out over quite a period of time. can anyone really afford to stay there/be off work for the duration? it'd be nice to take it in from start to finish like we all used to but that ain't $$ happening for me, to be sure.

I believe the capacity is going to be 24k at Ameritrade. Rosenblatt is comparable if not the same seating wise. The move is not due to increased seating but increased amenities namely luxury suites. I think the locals are probably the only ones going the full 2 weeks. I spoke to many TCU and UCLA fans who only planned on going to the first 2 games.

In 1982, 1989, 1991 and 1993 I was there for the whole event (I was also there in 92 and 96 but the Shox went 0-2 both of those years so I didn't stay for the whole thing)

Although I didn't make it to any CWS games this year, there have been many years when the Shox didn't go and I would go up for a few games. I pretty much went every year after 1975 but stopped doing that after UNL made it and it got very hard to get tickets.

I think I have only been to the CWS 3 times since UNL made their first trip to the CWS.

If the Shox ever get back to Omaha, I will find a way to stay for the whole event. :wsu_posters:
