  • Who is closer next year?

Who will be the go to guy in the late innings next year?

With Cooper drafted...Kelly, Flynn, Smith and Muncrief back....it looks like the starting rotation will be set.

    Will Mateychick or McGreevey close?

Sossamon comes back to be a solid closer.

Ya know...I was assuming Sossamon would be replaced as closer next year.

His ERA last season was 8.76 and he allowed almost a run per inning pitched. Maybe he will return to his 2009 form.

and that was because he was so solid this year with his 8.76 ERA?

With cooper leaving Flynn will likely move into the rotation. Otherwise he might have been the closer. Wsu bullpen has been in total disarray for the last 2 years so it is hard to project anybody. All bullpen jobs should be open for the taking.

I expect muncrief will be a lot better next year. He was comng back from arm surgery this year so he was dealing with that. But he had good stuff just was having problems locating it.

I think the coaches hope that a surprise like Caster will move into an important role and will be given every opportunity. His summer is very important.

I think there is a good chance Brain Flynn could be in the weekend rotation in place of Josh Smith.

Josh would get his chance as a mid-week starter.

Muncrief has good stuff as evidenced by being drafted. IF he can improve his command and pitchability he could be effective as a closer.

I with SB Shock on this one -- the bullpen innings are wide open and available to the 1st guys who step up and show they can get the job done.

Right the bullpen is made up of a bunch of ifs, buts, maybes and hopefullys.

I look at Brian Flynn in the Dreifort role out of the pen.
