What's amazing about this is that the Morales incident sent a shock wave through pro ball which should have carried through to college ball. Celebrate, but be smart and don't do anything that could cost an individual and the team later. Apparently, UCLA didn't get the message eventhough the Angels are in their backyard.

Was that Bill or Martìn Gramatica? For some reason I thought it was Martin, but I guess not.

Marty, I think you are wrong on both accounts.

I still have a 5 inch long scar on my thigh from dog piling after winning a regional about 15 years ago. Somebodies spike came down on me and sliced me open.

              Resolve Issue

I guess this subject devolved into who had what injuries. Since I lived in the Phx metro area in 2001, I thot it pertinent to share this from Wikipedia about Bill Gramatica as I remember the incident very well: After successfully kicking a 42-yard field goal in the first half of a game against the New York Giants on December 15, 2001, Gramática jumped up in celebration and tore his ACL upon landing (it is of note that after this event happened, on the ensuing kickoff the ball was kicked by Pat Tillman). He missed the rest of the season, finishing his rookie year with 16 field goals in 20 attempts. He played two more seasons for the Cardinals before signing with the New York Giants in the 2004 offseason.
