  • What say you...

I am a bit of a baseball purist. I have never like AL bats, but understand that they are the most practical.

According to an Associated Press survey of 24 coaches whose programs have won 1,000 or more games since 1985, 17 said they preferred aluminum and that there was no need to study the possibility of going to wood bats.
I had Martin explain to me three times what he got arrested for because it sounds an awful lot like what I do here every day.

I prefer wood bats, but like you I understand the reasons for the aluminum.

The reason given for aluminum vs wood has always been the costs involved. Do we pay for the bats vs being given the bats by mizuno for the advertising/promo? How much does a wood bat cost in comparison to an aluminum bat? What is the life expectency of a wood bat vs aluminum?

Ping!----OHHH!!! Good old Nebraska. I would love to see the switch to wooden bats. How about a wooden bat tournament at the begining of the season?

MLB complains about aluminum bats, but I don't understand why they don't fund to bring wood bats to college. It would seem they have vested interest.
