It looks like the big 12-minus 2 is going to survive for a little longer.

UNL had the 3rd worst RPI in the Big XII and finished 3rd from the bottom, so the conference should be improved. UNL baseball players are going to be taking 2,000 mile bus rides. I can't imagine that is going to help recruiting.

Instead of Nebraska taking their money and running, the BXII took their penalty money for running.

It looks like UNL going to the Big 10 should improve the baseball rpi of both conferences.

2,000 mile bus rides? one would think someone cheering for a team located in the air capital of the world would know there is such a thing as airplanes and jets.

they may or may not lose that penalty money. but in the spirit of keeping the 3 teams that matter the rest of the league decided to give it to them. yes instead of splitting over 20 mil between 10 teams, the 5 teams that were lost in the shuffle decided to give their share up. brilliant.

I would imagine that UNL would fly their baseball team to play at Happy Valley, PA but they are not going to fly everywhere.

Those UNL baseball players are probably in for some long bus rides.

RPI of baseball and basketball improve tremendously after this deal.

How does it help baseball? Colorado didn't play and Nebraska's had two down years (no idea what the future may have had had they stayed). In the last 12 years, 9 NCAA appearances, 3 CWS, 3 conference championships, and 4 conference tournament championships.
