Let's hope so. His stuff has been that good for a month. Tonight's difference, however, was his command. He worked ahead all night and good things happened.

Lord knows we can use another arm out of the bullpen. If Grant can join Hoch, Guy, and possibly both McKeever and Fleming as a go to guy out of the pen, I will start to feel better about our chances in the postseason.

And by "better" about our "chances", I mean feeling like we have some chance. Coop and Kelley can't run out and throw four complete games in as many days.

Good Lord, I hope we never meet ORU in the CWS. We would be a laughingstock with all their 10 ERA pitchers making us look like fools.

2007 ORU put some whoopings on WSU during mid week if I recall correctly. WSU beat them fairly easily in regional play that year.

Employed, what's that? First game all year I didn't bring the kids...otherwise I guess I probably would have been leaving early too.

I'm just glad ORU kept their end of the bargain and showed up. Sucks they play two less games next year.

WSU and ORU are so close they should just both agree to play each other when they have rainouts.

Also would be much nicer if DBU and ORU were both in the valley. I really would like a 3 game weekend series with ORU.

Actually, my group was talking at the game and we thought overscheduling is a pretty smart idea. Granted it got them this year, but what are the odds of making it through an entire season without cancelling a game in our part of the country? So what, you have a very minor chance of dropping 2 games one year from your schedule, but you more than make up for that by playing more games the other years.
