Shocks show us something new with their first late inning comeback win of the year. Maybe a fluke, but the guys didn't hang their heads like the tended to do earlier in the season and it did, in fact, happen.

Also the Shocks earned it with clutch base hits. It wasn't handed to them.

Definitely a positive step. Will it have a beneficial carryover effect? Who knows.

I thought Josh Smith and Logan Hoch were a positive on the mound for the most part. It was good to see Josh with a good outting, especially considering the tight strike zone he was working with today. The only mistake that bugged me was the 0-2 hit he gave up to the second batter in the 7th, but that's a pet peeve of mine.

Logan continues to be very solid out of the pen.

Cobey was definitely off his game, but in his defense, it sounded like they may have rushed him in the game somewhat (especially on a cool day).

Johnny Coy has really blossomed into a dangerous hitter lately. The ball really jumps off of his bat.

Maybe it was a fluke. On the other hand, it appears that we should have expected that the Shocks would put up 8 runs against Creighton.

Scores in the series: 8-0, 8-3 and 8-7.

I agree. I don't think I would have ever dreamed of this team coming through facing that kinda adversity. That is unbelievable.

I still question our decisions made with Guy in the 7th but credit the boys for coming through in the 9th.

Maybe this team has turned the corner here.

We may not win the Valley (thanks MSU), but this gives me hope come tournament time.

And which would you rather have? A Valley regular season title with no NCAA's or 2nd place and an NCAA's berth?

Rest up the rest of the week and let's sweep the pathetic Bears.

Very good win Sunday. Very good.

Good starting pitching all weekend kept the ScumJays in check.

Logan Hoch has been pretty consistent and good lately. He's really become the 2-3 inning stopper. Guy had several good games recently, but couldn't find the plate - we need him back and an occasional stumble by any relief pitcher is going to happen.

The offense finally picked-up the pitching staff. Finally. That's "Shox of Old" stuff. Get a lead and if the relievers are having a bad day, steal the game right back. Big-time kudos to the team for pulling this one out on the road. Coy, Springer, Bennet, Bascue and Lassley makes for a tough run in the line-up. Boy, are Springer and Coy on fire right now, or what?

IlSt and the Shox are firmly out ahead of the pack now. IndSt is decent, Evansville is marginal, but the rest of the league just plain sucks. Having all these teams in the tournament is going to make for some ugly baseball.
