Missouri State with a 6-spot in the bottom of the 3rd to go up 7-1 on Illinois State. Bears knock out ILS starter Brad Sorkin.

Still early. Hopefully, the Bears can hold on.

Illinois State comes right back with a 6-spot of their own in the Top of the 4th to tie the game at 7-all.

Looks like we may have to wait for some help from Evansville next week.

              How bad is MSU?

Down 10-7, they load the bases with NO outs, walk a run home, fielders choice with error for run 2.

Ground out FC at the plate.

              Strike out looking.

              Strike out looking.

              Pathetic.

10-9 Redbirds going to the 7th. This game is OVER with ISU's pen.

Bears last 8 straight outs have been via the K. 6 times looking.

Talk about going down without a fight.

                    11-9 Final. ISU over MSU.

Hope the Shox can keep this upward trend rolling with a sweep tomorrow.

McKeever has looked very much like a go to guy out of the pen.Maybe with Hoch,Guy and Keeve we can piece something together down the stretch to make some kind of run.

                          MSU

Yes, the Bears are Bad News indeed.

But, much as I hate to sound like KC, let me just remind our karma believers that the biggest difference between MSU's Saturday debacle against IlSt and WSU's frightful performance in the middle game against ISU was that against the Shocks, IlSt didn't stop at 11; they kept scoring until the run rule kicked in at 18(!). MSU at least kept it close enough to make the loss frustrating, whereas WSU didn't even compete.

I for one will be much more comfortable mocking MSU after the Shocks have swept them (assuming that happens). Until then, all this talk about how pathetic the Bears are may just serve as an embarrassment if WSU fails to take care of business against them.

Attendance Saturday 1,013. Was NU spring game played at the same time?

                              How many were Shocker fans?

Don't they look at winning percentage as the final verdict for seeds in the tourney? If we won today and Ill. St lost, we would be 1/2 game ahead of them, but yet still behind in winning percentage. That would be goofy if the season ended that with that type of situation.
