  • Regional Projections...as of April 15

As of this projection...the Shockers were just at the cusp of being projected as being post season players.

As the wins pick up through April/May, the Shockers should move into the projection.

    But which Regional?

The Ft. Worth regional would be a fairly easy drive and would appear to be very winnable to me.

I think it will depend on whether Charlie L. comes back or is done for the season.

          Fayetteville Regional
          No. 2 Arkansas
          Kansas State
          Ohio State
          Wichita State

          paired with Florida State

I would take that regional in a heartbeat. Not that we have a snowballs chance, but Fayetteville is a reasonable drive, a fine facility, and if another matchup with KSU presents itself even better. Tickets might be at a premium if the Cats start following their baseball team like they do their football brethren. Now all we need to do is take care of business at hand and get to a regional. GO SHOX!

I kind of doubt it. I have a friend who works in the Kstate Athletic Dept. and he told me that they didn't make any money off the record setting WSU at Kstate baseball crowd.

Even though it was the largest crowd in their stadium's history, all but a couple hundred tickets were free student tickets or pass tickets for family members. They didn't really get much of a paying crowd.

Of course WSU has a chance, and it is probably larger than a "snowballs chance". All they have to do is win the MVC tournament.

All the ESPN projection was saying there would be 1 team from the MVC and that team ESPN was betting on would be WSU.

I think he meant the Shocks wouldn't have a snowball's chance in winning that projected regional.

Of course we have a chance to make a regional. In fact, I still expect it.

Maybe if they can beat a good d-1 opponent instead of a NAIA opponent.

Gees! You guys are tough! Glad someone was able to interpret what I tried to communicate. So for you other guys/gals the clarification is:
Not that we have a "snowballs chance" to win that regional playing the way we are playing now, but......... AND what I did say is Tickets "MIGHT BE" at a premium "IF" ......

HOLY SMOKES, I am glad I don't report to you guys! I would not last long with your critical tongue and misinterpretation of content.
