UE scores 2 in the bottom of the 4th to cut the Shocker lead to 5-4. TK started off great the first two innings but has really struggled the last two.

UE really could have scored a lot more, leaving the bases loaded. It would be nice to see TK get back to his earlier form in the fifth. Sossamon started warming up in the 4th.

The attitude you'll get from me is the attitude I'm getting from our team and coaches currently.

TK comes back out to start the fifth. He quickly gets a force out to get the lead runner out for only the second time today. He then strikes out the second batter.

A good start to the fifth for TK. Hopefully he can settle in and give us a couple more good innings after this one.

Kelly faces the minimum of three batters. The third batter hit a long fly ball that Hall catches and then drops as he hits the wall.

The batter ends up on second. A pitch then goes to the backstop and the aggressive UE runner tries to score from second. OB tags him out easily to preserve the Shocker lead.

TK did seem to settle down and didn't throw many pitches in the 5th. Hopefully we can get a couple more real good innings from him and a few more runs from our hitters in the mean time.

Will Baez of all people hits a wind blown home run to extend the Shocker lead to 2 runs.

Better get used to it Sunshine. This is SN, a melting pot of traditional and eccentric Shocker fans. If you can't handle the good, the bad and the ugly I suggest you either sign off permanently, grow thicker skin, or have a drink before signing on.

By the way, this team has actually gotten worse from last season. But, I am thankful that being in the Valley affords us a great opportunity to get into the postseason. I hope the DBU talk is suspended or we'll never get in if they join the Valley.

UE changes pitchers. I believe it is their 4th pitcher of the game. Grimes is on first, Ryan Jones is at bat with one out.

Grimes steals second. Nice seeing the Shockers being aggressive on the bases. Jones gets a hit, Grimes slips going around 3rd but is able to slide around the tag (Gene was sending him all of the way).

The Shockers are now back up by 3 runs. Still only one out and Jones is standing on 2nd.

Jones takes third on a fly out. Travis up to bat with 2 outs and Jones standing on third. Travis hits the ball well but it is caught. Shocker 6th comes to an end.

Uh, I don't get the roommates comment. Did I miss something?

Just because me and KC appear to be the more vocal bunch, doesn't mean we're the only ones thinking it. We just have the jewels to utilize a message board and post what we're thinking. I dunno if you can tell, but read the comments made during the last 2 weeks and you'll notice we are not alone.



And to KC's point about the Valley helping us. I remember at the beginning of this year, we were all pissed at the Valley for being sucky and dragging us down (self included). We held that attitude for a while but now the sucky Valley will actually help us, as you said KC. I totally take back what I said in the past about the other Valley schools. We have no room to talk anymore. A sucky Valley is actually our only hope.
