For those that stayed away last night you missed a very good game. Cooper had a 4 hit shutout with 2 outs in the ninth. Defence was solid. Hitting was timely and productive. Just one mistake by Kevin Hall as he was double off of second on what he must have thought was a sac fly, but O'Brien is not as fast as Kevin and would have been thrown out at the plate if he would have tried to score. All in all a good win.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

It is called Baseball IQ. Know the situation and think through what you're going to do with each scenario as it plays out. The fly ball was not that deep and the RF was running in and in great position to unload a throw. Hall had to know he had a clogger in front of him who wasn't going anywhere on a medium depth fly ball. Getting doubled-off with a runner on 3B is just not smart baseball.

Cooper was good and the defense was solid. Some new guys in new positions and the Shocks didn't suffer defensively. Harbutz is such a solid player and very versatile. It hard to believe he was a late signee at his talent level.

Great job by Cooper against the RPI ranked 211 team. Something to be proud of. Tabor would be ranked higher.

Shocker baseball has dropped so far that we are happy with a win against Bradely. I have my pom poms out right now celebrating.

How would I know what? I apologize for having high expectations from one of the so called elite programs.

Great win, guys. Coop was in control all nite, and Jonsey, Baez and others hit the ball hard. Now let's string together a streak.

I think all of some of you so called shocker fans suck!!

I just as soon not even get on this site, but am compelled to see what some of you have to complain about. This is a completely new team that need a little time to create some chemistry and I believe will be just fine before it is over. Some of you just pileing on just because they have a rough spot is reaaaal impressive. I hope they can put together a nice 10-12 game win streak just to see the same guys get on the bandwagon. Give us a break, if there was no valleys in this season, some of you would have no life or a good reason to live.

                  just my take.

                    ddog,

I guess I love your passion, but where do you come up with This is a completely new team that need a little time to create some chemistry? I gotta call BS on that one. This is one of the most veteran Shocker teams EVER. Bennett, Springer, and Harbutz are pretty much the only new guys who have played much (yes Goro may be getting in the mix), and Springer and Bennett are upperclassmen. There are seniors all over the place, some of whom are in their 5th year in the program. This team is LOADED with Jr and Sr pitching.

There are a lot of Shocker baseball fans who have been through hell and high water for a lot of years with the Shox. The program carries the expectation of the fans that the program itself has brought upon itself.

Keep the faith, ddog, that 10-12 game hot streak is sure to come.
