  • Bradley Game 1

WSU plays Bradley to open the MVC play. Bradley comes in hiting 0.286 with no HR power. Pitching has 4.90 ERA and is fielding 0.961.

Jacob Booden looks to be their ace with 0.86 ERA, 3-0 with 18 K in 21 inning. Opponents are hitting 0.197. He has given up 12 walks in 21 inning.

Beyond that Bradley pitching staff doesn't look that opposing.

    Easy choice, Go Panthers !
Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

Yes, go Panthers. Gene, your teams' performance of late has shifted the spotlight from WSU Baseball to U of Northern Freaking Iowa Basketball.

During the Mike Cohen era when Basketball season started Shirley and I would joke its only 4 months to Shocker Baseball.....well Shirley its only 7 months to Shocker Basketball. Even less if they get to play overseas.

How about these options: Watch the WSU Gamecast online and watch UNI on TV? Or, keep tabs on the UNI game via cell phone and go to the WSU game. Why pick one thing to enjoy when you can enjoy two? :good:

Terrific game by Coop and a not-terrible game on offense. Home just in time to watch the last part of the first half of the UNI game...I suppose 'both' could have been an answer in the poll ;-)

We desperately need this sweep. Here's to hoping Kelley has his best stuff if we're able to squeeze a game in between the storm clouds tomorrow.

Wonder why the lack of posts after this game.

5-0 win over Bradley means little, but it's certainly better than a loss.

Was there for some of the game. Don't pile on this team - they can play ball. Pitching tonight was first class - just what you expect from the SHOX. Hitting was solid - actually good compared to recent teams - fielding was Shocker like - best in the Valley. These guys could be playing baseball in Omaha.
                        GO SHOX!

Anybody else like Harbutz at short?

I know it was just for one game to send a message to Grimes...but still. He looked very comfortable and I was not holding my breath every throw.

Kevin Hall getting doubled off second was sort of humorous. ANYONE else but O'Brien on third and that would have been a sac fly. Hall forgot the man in front of him on the basepaths carries a refrigerator on his back.

Love seeing Harbutz at SS.0 error's tonight by the Shox.Real nice game to watch. Also good to see Keeve with a couple of hit's.I really thought McKeever and Springer hitting 3 and 4 this season was going to be awesome. Not so much so far.Kelley and Lowell have a tough act to follow.

Not to nitpick, but it was a 5-1 win. Bradley hit a bomb in the 9th. But, it was a Shocker win, so that's all that matters. :good:
