Springer...praise the heavens. A Juco DH with power: this has been at the top of my wish list for nearly ten years.

I can not remember a more satisfying win to open the season. Very nice.
No letting up tomorrow, EMU showed they are capable of sneaking up on a decent team when they clipped the Beakers. That said...we should thump them. Their #2 guy is nothing special, and their bullpen is not good.
Great game Shocks!!

The bullpen work was not as sharp as you would like, although it obviously is way too early to know for sure how that aspect of the team will work out. Nevertheless, that is perhaps our biggest question mark and maybe even the key to just how successful we can be this year.
A lot of good things today though and the bullpen did not need to be great.
Looking forward to seeing the bullpen sharpen up as the season progresses.

Wow, what a solid start to the season. I don't care who the opponent is. First game of the year and we have offense winning games is certainly impressive. We couldn't even get 7 runs against Tabor in the middle of the year last year.
Springer sounds like he may be our savior. Solid contributions from a lot of guys. Only negative today was the bullpen, but as mentioned, for first appearances after surgery, not bad at all.
Way ta go Shocks!
Keep it up tomorrow.
