  • Baseball America Preview - MVC Conference

Baseball America predicts the following finish:

    1. WSU
    2. CU
    3. MSU
    4. ISU (R)
    5. SIU
    6. ISU (B)
    7. EU
    8. BU

    Projected NCAA Teams - WSU

    All Conf Team

    1B - McKeever
    OF - Ryan Jones
    SP-Jordan Cooper
    SP - Tim Kelley

    Top Newcomers

    2. Tobin Matechick
    4. Nate Goro

    Top Prospects
    2. Jordan Cooper
    4. Ryan Jones

BA take is WSU is the favorite due to the returning pitchers ("stellar starting rotation" - in their words). Of course they screwed up on Flynn not realizing he wasn't elibible.

They say the MVC is wide open after WSU. Expect MSU to take a step back with CU stepping up with alot of returning players and pitching staff.

Other key phrase from the article...

They call WSU the "perennial valley juggernaut". :D

Who the hell is the top prospect above Cooper? Any chance you can provide a link to their write up?

A Bradley pitcher is our league's top prospect?

          Deuces Valley.
          ... No really, deuces.

The Cooper kid from Bradley is a Juco Transfer. He was an all-star in the Cape Cod league over the summer. Sounds like he's the real deal.

From everything I have heard Cooper is a stud.

Cape cod is where dreams are made and broken.
