  • "Mountain Man" Casey Blake POG in game 4 of ALCS

Casey's home run off Wakefield to lead off the 5th broke a scoreless tie and opened the flood gates for the Indians 7 run inning. He actually capped off the inning driving in the 7th run. Up until that swing, Wakefield had completely handcuffed the Indians.

Doug Mirabelli caught Wakefield, as he always does. I almost think that as long as Wakefield is pitching, which could be for another 15 years the way he throws, that Doug will have a job. They traded him once but when Veritek got hurt, the backup catcher could not catch Wakefield's knuckle ball, so they got him back. He's a rock solid defensive catcher.

How do you catch a knuckle ball?
Wait till it stops rolling and pick it up.

What a great spotlight for Wichita State's baseball program.

Wedge, Blake, and Mirabelli in the postseason.

2 of the 18 starters in last night's ballgame played here, not to mention the manager of the Indians.

    They've all done really well.
