Minnis said WSU pitching coach Brent Kemnitz said Minnis projected as a fourth- to seventh-round draft pick next June.

"It would take life-changing money for me to sign pro," Minnis said. "Wichita's where I want to be."

Then, he added, "And tell Mr. Gould he should go to Wichita State, too."
I think I already have a new favorite player.

The ones that come here are the ones who were smart enough to make the right (& best) choice.
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Please don't go pro! Anyway, a lefty that throws 90 mph and has a slider to boot? I'm so excited for the him and the program.

Albert Minnis, a Lawrence High senior-to-be and a member of the 2008 state championship LHS baseball team, has committed to play baseball for Wichita State University.“I called Wichita State this morning at 8,” Minnis said Thursday.

Minnis said he picked Wichita State — which went 48-17 overall and 19-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference last year, earning Missouri Valley Conference regular-season and tournament titles and a trip to the NCAA Super Regionals
Huh? Is it just me or is this a little misleading? I mean, technically, it was last year.

                        New article on Albert:

Albert Minnis was getting the rookie treatment. On a recent Wednesday afternoon, as he posed for a short photo shoot at the end of a Lawrence High baseball practice, the senior left-hander was being showered with catcalls from nearby teammates.
