  • Zach Beringer - Verbally Commits to WSU

Right-hander Zach Beringer gave Wichita State's baseball team a non-binding commitment last week.

Beringer, from Harrisburg, Mo., said he will sign with WSU in November.

"I knew I needed to go somewhere that was well-known for developing pitchers," he said.

Beringer (6-foot-4, 215 pounds) visited campus in early July. He accepted WSU's scholarship offer on the spot.

"He said Louisville, Missouri, Missouri State, Indiana State, Miami (Fla.), Kansas and TCU also contacted him, either by phone or e-mail."

Who was that pitcher who went to KU? It's too bad KU is getting all the good pitchers.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.
