I've always wondered about Tommy LaSorda using him as a relief pitcher in such short turn around times and if that would have made a difference in his health. I am the proud owner of an autographed WSU game jersey that he wore his last season.

Darren couldn't make it to the HOF ceremonies. He had hip surgry and was not able to travel.

Darren was probably my favorite player of all time. I still have the Eagle front page from our '89 championship signed by all the players including Darren who was still in high school but was at the downtown parade to support Todd. I thought my brother was dumb at the time for getting an autograph of a non player but every time I see his name on the paper I'm happy he did it. I'm still mad about the Kevin Nunn of KWCH signature though.
